Tinder charging young gay and lesbian users and over-30s more for Plus service
An article has been published today outlining the findings of an investigation organised by Which? into the pricing structure on Tinder’s app. Working with Proinsight, we utilised over 200 of our mystery shoppers to create a variety of Tinder profiles and feedback on the monthly fee they were offered to access Tinder’s premium services.
The research has highlighted that Tinder is charging young gay and lesbian users and people over 30 up to 48 per cent more for Tinder Plus where users can benefit from unlimited ‘Likes’ and ‘Rewinds’ and the ability to undo accidental selections.
Tinder has responded stating that its pricing structure does not discriminate by sexual preference, however did admit that in some countries, older people are required to pay more.
